The fourth expansion in the Fate Saga, rounding out the 2026 content cycle. Currently slated for a Winter 2026 release.

The third expansion in the Fate Saga and the start of Year 9 content. Originally expected in Summer 2026, it is currently estimated for September 2026 following delays to Year 8 updates.

Originally titled 'Shadow & Order' and slated for March 2026, Bungie delayed and expanded this major mid-season update for the Renegades expansion to June 9, 2026. It will feature sizable quality-of-life updates including Pantheon 2.0, Tier 5 stats for Exotic Armors, and expanding Tiered Gear to all Raid and Dungeon activities.

Season: Lawless launched with the Renegades expansion on December 2, 2025, centering on the Drifter and an underground criminal cabal storyline. It introduced Destiny 2's Year 8 content model featuring extended multi-month seasons each anchored by an expansion and a mid-season Major Update.

Episode: Heresy was the third and final Year 7 episode, launching February 4, 2025 and featuring the Heretical Arsenal weapon customization system. The episode concluded with the free Rite of the Nine event in May 2025, ending the Year 7 Episode content format.

Episode: Revenant was the second Year 7 episode, featuring three Acts running from October 2024 through February 2025 with new story missions and activities across the Scorn storyline.
